About Dave

David has been tuning in Sarasota since 1993 and started in business in 1968. He has been proudly tuning the pianos for the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall (20 years), Sarasota Opera House (23 years), New College (24 years), and The Historic Asolo Theater. Dave is also the tuner for the Perlman Music Program / Suncoast for 16 years. He has also served the Sarasota Ballet, Sarasota Music Archives at the Selby Library and the Venice Symphony.

David has retired as the Organist / Director of Music Ministries at the (former) Whitfield Presbyterian Church (now) Oak Point Church, Bradenton. David was also an organ major at the (former) Guilmant Organ School, N.Y.C. where he learned both Liturgical and Classical Music and Concert Organ performance.

David attended the Julliard School of Music in N.Y.C. where it was discovered that he had a “natural” ear and could hear pitches, and out-of-tune pianos. Needless to say, his direction changed at Julliard and the rest is history. It is said that music runs in the genes, if this is so, David is proud to say that his grandfather’s Cousin was the (late) famous Arthur Fiedler, Conductor of the famous Boston Pops Orchestra.
